About CECH-ITThe College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH-IT) is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job OverviewWe are excited to grow our Office of Educator Preparation and Licensure with an Assistant Director of P‑12 Partnerships. This person will have an integral role in teacher preparation in the School of Education by sustaining and growing our partnerships with preK‑12 schools, districts, and other educational settings in the Greater Cincinnati Area. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching and teacher education, and someone who knows the landscape of preK‑12 education in Greater Cincinnati.
The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter and will have experience supporting school‑university partnerships.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the School of Education for P‑12 schools and other teacher preparation field sites.
- Maintain and grow relationships with districts, schools, and other field placement sites according to the needs of teacher preparation programs, including maintaining MOUs with partner sites.
- Collaborate with School of Education licensure programs to determine placement needs, make field placements, and make supervisor assignments.
- Convene a School of Education field council including faculty from teacher preparation programs.
- Provide recruitment, leadership, training, and support to field supervisors and mentor teachers for teacher preparation programs, including review and distribution of candidate evaluations of supervisors and mentors.
- Collaborate with School of Education business office to facilitate field supervisor contracts and mentor teacher payments.
- Collaborate with employers to collect employer feedback on program completers.
- Provide back‑up support to duties across the Office of Educator Preparation and Licensure.
