Job Requirements- Bachelor's Degree, Health Science or other (Required)
- 2-3 years of clinical experience and experience working with radiography program students (Required)
- Demonstrates proficiency in course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
This position is primarily responsible for the clinical and didactic instruction of students in the radiologic technology program and laboratory teaching activities in assigned courses; serves as a clinical expert in the field. Actively supports an outcomes-based learning centered culture through continued professional development for improvement of self and the college in keeping with the College's learning-centered values and goals. Reports to and operates under the direction and supervision of the Department Chair.
Job Responsibilities- Evaluate student achievement of expected learning behaviors, provide verbal and written feedback, and implement ongoing assessment of student learning.
- Implement clinical and didactic instruction, facilitating student attainment of expected clinical behaviors.
- Plan course activities to help students achieve course objectives.
- Supervise students in the learning environment and confer with them regarding progress per established course requirements.
- Act as a role model when facilitating student learning and assist students to relate theory to clinical practice.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the course, apply course concepts to clinical experiences, and coordinate learning experiences with appropriate clinical staff.
- Consult with the Department Chair, attend course meetings, facilitate skills lab activities, hold office hours, and participate in accreditation and assessment processes.
