Job Overview
The School of Communication, Film, and Media Studies has programs in Communication, Digital Media, Film Studies, Public Relations, and Animation and Gaming. We offer certificates, minors, majors, and graduate programs.
The School of Communication, Film, and Media Studies within the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure track, one-year position at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor of organizational communication to support its educational mission. The teaching load is 3/3. This is a one-year position, with the possibility but no guarantee of reappointment for a second year.
Essential Functions
Develop and teach undergraduate and/or graduate (as appropriate) organizational communication courses in multiple modalities (in person, online synchronous, and/or online asynchronous). Needed classes include Introduction to Organizational Communication, Organizational Communication Capstone, and Organizational Image, Identity and Issue Management. There are other possible classes depending on expertise and interest.
Minimum Requirements
* A PhD in communication or related field
* Experience teaching courses in organizational communication
* Expertise in one or more of the following: organizations and the environment, organizations and health, organizations and media (film, television, digital media, and/or social media)
