Job OverviewThe University of Cincinnati College of Law invites applications for a full-time, open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in tax law with an expected start date of August 15, 2026. Ideal candidates will be able to teach courses in federal income tax, corporate tax, and tax policy. Candidates must possess a J.D. or equivalent degree and have excellent academic credentials, with demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching and scholarship.
We are interested in applicants with a wide variety of professional and academic experiences and backgrounds.

Entry-level candidates who have not previously held a tenure-track position must complete an online application. Essential Functions- Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
- Attend meetings, participate in governance, and prepare teaching materials.
- Evaluate and develop curriculum for the department and/or college.
- Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate coursework.
- Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.
- Serve on graduate committees, supervise laboratories (where appropriate), independent study activities, and off-campus learning.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
- Render service to the professional or lay community relevant to the individual's academic specialty.
- Review and, where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Candidates must possess a J.D. or equivalent degree.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research evidenced by a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Tenured candidates should demonstrate intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential for significant contributions to the department, University of Cincinnati, and the wider scholarly community.
