Lead Preschool Teacher – Kindergarten Prep Classroom

The Apple Tree Preschool & Childcare is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to lead our Kindergarten Prep Classroom
, supporting children as they build confidence, independence, and readiness for their next educational step.

Our Kindergarten Prep program emphasizes social-emotional growth, early academic foundations, and joyful, hands-on learning in a small, homey classroom environment
. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping curriculum, mentoring assistant teachers, and partnering closely with families.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support kindergarten readiness
• Create an engaging, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment
• Foster positive behavior, independence, and social-emotional development
• Communicate regularly and thoughtfully with families about student progress
• Mentor and support assistant teachers to uphold high standards of care and instruction
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; candidates with a high school diploma and relevant childcare experience in a licensed, accredited setting will be considered
• Ability to pass required physical examination and criminal records check in accordance with State of Ohio licensing
• Ability to lift, carry, and hold children up to 40–50 lbs
• Ability to maintain visual and auditory supervision indoors and outdoors to ensure child safety
• Ability to communicate effectively with young children at eye level
• Full-time, on-site position
• Pay: $14.00–$20.00 per hour

• Day shift, Monday–Friday
• 8-hour shifts with overtime availability
