Summer 2026 Semester Teaching Opportunities
Arizona College of Nursing is seeking master’s- and/or doctorate-prepared nursing professionals to join our Cincinnati, OH BSN campus as part‑time Adjunct Faculty. These are on‑site, in‑person teaching opportunities that will start to teach on or after May 4, 2026 and pay $55/hr.
Requirements:
- Weekday daytime teaching availability required.
- Flexibility to teach clinicals required; flexibility to potentially teach labs and/or didactic courses in other areas of the nursing curriculum is strongly preferred.

Through the execution of a targeted growth strategy, the college plans to meet the growing demand for nurses by launching campuses in markets where bachelor’s prepared nurses are needed.
- Develop, implement, teach, and evaluate the philosophy and objectives of the nursing education program.
- Design, implement, teach, evaluate, and revise the curriculum.
- Document actions taken in faculty and committee meetings using a systematic plan of evaluation for total program review.
- Lead simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.
- Responsible for teaching and evaluating students in the classroom.
- Design an effective learner environment that facilitates student learning to address contemporary issues in nursing.
- Support students’ progression in academics and socialization into the role of nursing.
- Utilize an array of assessment tools to evaluate student learning.
- Actively participate in systematic plan for curriculum design, program evaluation and program revision.
- Work with Course Lead Faculty to develop student success plans and remediate “at‑risk” students.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the dean.
- Facilitate the nursing students’ application of theory to clinical practice.
- Attend healthcare facility/agency‑based orientation.
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of overall program, program outcomes and assigned course objectives.
- Communicate effectively utilizing professional techniques with clinical agency representatives, staff, faculty, and students.
- Identify and immediately communicate problem areas/clinical areas of concern to Course Lead Faculty and recommend changes and solutions as appropriate.
- Provide daily and as needed communication with Course Lead Faculty concerning student progress including successes and identified needs, clinical issues, suggestions, and/or professional learning needs.
- Grade associated clinical papers and provide students with timely and clear feedback.
- Maintain all records on student performance, i.e., Student Success Plan, Progressive Disciplinary Plan, and Mid‑term and final clinical evaluations.
- Complete clinical site evaluations.
- Adhere to/enforce the policies and procedures of Arizona College of Nursing and the assigned clinical facility.
- Attend course faculty meetings during planning week to assure all clinical rotations are aligned with the didactic course.
- Plan, teach, and evaluate classroom, clinical, skills labs and other learning experiences in conjunction with other team members.
- Connect students to college resources for their success.
- Participate in academic advisement and counseling of students as necessary.
- Consistently demonstrate and coach students on soft skills:

- Responsibility and dependability
- Attend campus‑based orientation and faculty meetings when applicable.
- Provide input to developing, evaluating, and revising program policies as applicable.
- Protect student privacy through completing required FERPA training and upholding FERPA guidelines.
Other duties as assigned by the dean or department chair may be required.
