Student's homes and private schools in Western Hills and Cincinnati, Ohio

Summary

We are seeking an Intervention Specialist to join our dedicated team at Schaefer Education Solutions. This role is pivotal in providing individualized support to students, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and guidance to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism and special needs.
  • Provide direct instruction in literacy, math, and other core subjects tailored to each student's learning style.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student growth and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Facilitate social skills development and conflict resolution among students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field;
    Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
  • Strong skills in instructional design and literacy education.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and childhood development.
