Job Description

Position Summary WEC is seeking a high-level Program Leader with instructional experience to spearhead our upcoming high dosage intervention pilot. This role is designed for an educator to validate our working theory: that high-dosage, individualized intervention, championed by engaged parents, is the essential bridge for children to master grade-level standards. You will oversee a team of interventionists, manage data-driven pivots, and guide the WEC team on a parent engagement strategy during the pilot.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Oversight:
Provide clinical coaching to interventionists to ensure alignment with CPS’s Wit & Wisdom curriculum and Science of Reading (SoR) frameworks.

  • Data Architecture: Manage mCLASS/DIBELS assessment data to drive weekly instructional pivots, moving students from remediation to acceleration.
  • Parent Technical Facilitation: Design and lead workshops that equip parents with technical literacy skills and the knowledge to advocate for literacy-rich policies.
  • Team Management: Manage interventionists, including identifying and providing supports, as needed, to the interventionists to ensure students are making progress to their goals
  • Synthesis & Reporting (Final 2 Weeks): Aggregate all pilot data, parent feedback, and student growth metrics into a formal findings report for stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of We Excel
  • Experience designing and implementing successful reading interventions
  • Deep familiarity with instructional tools (Wit & Wisdom, mCLASS, UFLI)
  • Strong proficiency in analyzing assessment data to inform interventions
  • Effective communication with We Excel's team, interventionists & families
  • Ability to work at least 25 hours per week part-time
  • A driver's license and reliable transportation
