Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential

Child Focus is seeking a dedicated early childhood professional to serve as Lead Teacher in an Infant/Toddler Classroom, ages 0-3, implementing a research-based curriculum. Duties include set up and maintenance of classroom, engaging with infants and toddlers, diaper changing and fostering learning and growth. Child Focus is a Step Up to Quality Gold Rated Program and provides high quality early childhood services.
The lead teacher is responsible for providing a learning experience that accommodates children’s needs and stimulates learning across all domains of development including lesson planning, screening and curriculum implementation. The lead teacher also works with the assistant teachers to ensure children’s basic needs are met and that the daily routine runs smoothly. The lead teacher establishes a partnership with families, and helps the families set and meet goals for their children and themselves.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in child development, flexible, dependable and has the ability to work well with others.

- Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and grow.
- Love children and wish to work in a team-oriented environment
- Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
- Have knowledge and interest of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- Have previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred, but not required as training provided
