Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Department of MPCS invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Statistics/Data Science, intended to begin August 15, 2026. The American Association of University Professors serves as the collective bargaining agent for full-time faculty; see the Chapter's website ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). ) for details of the bargaining agreement.

Essential Functions
  • Teach a range of statistics, data science, and business analytics courses at the freshman and sophomore levels including but not limited to Introduction to Statistics, Elementary Statistics, and Business Analytics I & II. Utilize various teaching pedagogies in the classroom, and be flexible with the use of different modes of instruction (face-to-face, fully online, and hybrid). The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours (usually four courses) per semester and may include daytime, evening, and/or weekend classes;

    class sizes normally range from 20 to 30 students.
  • Participate in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University such as but not limited to search committees, the Technology Committee, and the Faculty Senate Academic Affairs Committee or any other committee with service need and/or opportunity.
