Overview
The Department of Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking an A /AO
-certified or eligible radiologist with subspecialty pediatric neuroradiology fellowship training to join our Neuroradiology Imaging division. The division currently has 8 faculty members interpreting nearly 13,000 MRI examinations per year. CCHMC has one of the best epilepsy programs in the country and strong neurosurgical, neurooncology, neurodevelopment, and genetics programs. Multidisciplinary conferences with other services are among the most robust in the institutions, with the Friday neuroimaging case conference the highlight of the week.
The case mix is diverse, ranging from basic outpatient radiographic diagnoses to complex imaging on tertiary and qua ternary referral patients. The preferred candidate must have solid skills in all aspects of pediatric neuroradiology, strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to collaborate with clinicians to deliver the best imaging care. Our goal is to continually improve the academic and educational aspects of pediatric neuroimaging, and candidates should be prepared to participate in these activities.
The Department of Radiology has:
- 45 clinical faculty
- 12 research PhD’s
- One of the largest fellowship programs in the country, including one or two pediatric neuroradiology fellows per year
- We perform approximately 280,000 imaging examinations per year across multiple sites of care
- With a great mix of basic and tertiary/qua ternary cases
- Our clinical and research imaging equipment is state-of-the-art and includes 13 clinical MRI systems (including a dedicated 3T neonatal MRI) and 3 dedicated research MRI systems
- Research/administrative time is provided to all faculty
- Research start-up funding is available within the Department of Radiology and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
