Tri Health Neuroscience Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio, is excited to welcome a full-time, fellowship trained Neuromuscular Neurologist to our accomplished, rewarded team. This exciting opportunity allows you to collaborate with a highly-skilled multi-disciplinary group to provide safe, reliable care to a high volume, diverse and medically complex patient population.

In this role you will find yourself immersed in a dynamic network of peer Neurologists and associated Tri Health physician specialists. You’ll work with dedicated APPs and professional staff along with supportive Administration in an environment that fosters a strong culture of collaboration and mentorship. Enjoy access to an established network of resources including dedicated outpatient neurology infusion centers, neuropsychology, social work, physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies and outstanding local community outreach programs.

To be considered you will be board-certified in Neurology and have completed a Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative medicine in order to further expand this line of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Use patient history, thorough examination and appropriate testing to diagnose neuromuscular disorders.
  • Counsel patients on neuromuscular disorders and available, effective treatment options.
  • Perform and be highly proficient in electromyography (EMG) studies.
  • Perform and interpret NCS/EMG procedures.
  • Have experience with nerve/muscle/skin biopsies, neuromuscular ultrasound, neuromuscular pathology and autonomic testing.
  • Monitor and address behavioral or cognitive side effects of treatments.
Neuromuscular Highlights:
  • Neuromuscular focused role with opportunity to build a high-volume neuromuscular patient population mixed with general neurology.
  • Neuromuscular/EMG volume is flexible; approximately 4-5 in one half day.
  • Schedule is flexible and primarily outpatient based; there may be opportunities for inpatient care/coverage.
  • Robust staff with opportunity to have EMG Technician support on site.
  • Teaching opportunity with rotating neurology residents/medical students.
  • Participation in clinical trials will be encouraged but not required.
