Overview
The Emergency Department at a 189-bed community hospital in eastern Cincinnati, Ohio, with an ED volume of 37,000 and a 22% admission rate. The newly renovated ED has 31 treatment bays. EMR:
Epic with Dragon dictation. A 24-hour in-house Hospitalist program primarily admits well over 90% of the ED patients. The patient mix includes adult and pediatric medical cases of all acuities and minor trauma. A new EM residency is planned for 2025. Excellent equipment includes two ED CT scanners, ultrasound, and MRI available to the ED 7 days a week for emergent cases.
An EMS coordinator assists with an active EMS program. All radiology reads are available 24 hours a day.

Hospitalists are attending, critical care physicians serve as consultants and do most of the management including procedures during the day - Board-eligible or board certified in internal medicine or family medicine
