Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Locum Neurologist to provide vital inpatient coverage at Clermont & Anderson Hospitals. Key Responsibilities:

• Cover inpatient neurological cases for adult patients across hospital settings.
• Interpret radiologic exams (unofficial).
• Administer thrombolytic therapy when necessary.
• Conduct EEG and EMG procedures.
• Perform brain death assessments.
• Collaborate with a team of neurologists and advanced practice providers.
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation.
• Manage a typical caseload of 10-20+ hospital-based patients per day.
• Support the hospital during a critical staffing need until approximately October.

Required Skills:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Proven experience with inpatient neurology cases.
• Proficiency in EEG, EMG, and radiologic exam interpretation.
• Strong documentation skills with Electronic Medical Records, specifically Epic.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Previous experience in a hospital-based or acute care setting.
• Familiarity with thrombolytic protocols.
• Additional certifications or training relevant to neurocritical care.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active medical license in Ohio.
• Prior locum or hospitalist experience preferred but not required.
• At least 2 years of clinical neurology practice.

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing is expected to commence immediately.
• Travel reimbursement includes lodging ( $150/night) and standard/economy rates for other bookings.
• Availability to start as soon as credentialing completes, ideally by January 17, 2026.
• Must be able to work 24-hour shifts, TBD.
