Job Summary
The Member Services Representative will create a positive member experience by providing superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Greet gym members, prospective members, and guests with exceptional customer service.
- Handle all front desk activities:
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers.
- Check members into the system and process new member sign-ups.
- Take prospective members on tours.
- Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
- Customer service background preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat and positive attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills; interact in a positive professional way exceeding expectations.
- Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
- CPR certification required.
- High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Continual standing and walking during shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
- Freezing gym membership.
- Offer 401K.
- Offer health benefits through various insurance companies.
- Providing facial coverings for all staff and gym members.
- Every other piece of cardio equipment shut off to promote social distancing.
- Sanitizing showers every 20 minutes to ensure cleanliness for members.
- Daily wellness checks and checking temperatures of employees before the start of a shift.
