Member Service Representative

Job Summary

The Member Services Representative will create a positive member experience by providing superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

• Greet gym members, prospective members, and guests with exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front desk activities:
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers.
  • Check members into the system and process new member sign-ups.
  • Take prospective members on tours.
• Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability essential.
• Exceptional customer service skills; interact in a positive professional way exceeding expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• CPR certification required.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.

• Freezing gym membership.
• Offer 401K.

• Providing facial coverings for all staff and gym members.
• Every other piece of cardio equipment shut off to promote social distancing.
• Sanitizing showers every 20 minutes to ensure cleanliness for members.
• Daily wellness checks and checking temperatures of employees before the start of a shift.
