Position: Kroger Studios Producer-Director

Develop an idea from concept stage to final internal or external-facing product with a focus on content that excites and engages our associates and customers on topics such as our sustainability goals, community outreach, hunger relief efforts and business performance. Bring together the necessary production team and work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business objectives and ensure proper representation of all Kroger brands and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and produce compelling, on-trend media content from concept through delivery for a variety of outputs (e.g., internal, external, social)
  • Partner with internal/external clients to establish a clear direction and expectations for deliverables and articulate a compelling and engaging project vision
  • Establish creative direction (i.e., overall look and feel) for productions in partnership with the client and Kroger Studios Leadership, as well as all relevant style guidelines
  • Produce and direct field and studio video/still production; lead and run live events
  • Write and review program proposals, which include budgets, creative treatments and preliminary schedules
  • Serve as project manager by scheduling resources, coordinating creative efforts, communicating with clients, and adhering to project delivery dates
  • Maintain knowledge of current video/photo technology, trends and equipment and experiment with new techniques, and act as a one-person production facility when needed
  • Identify and select on-screen talent; effectively direct talent and internal presenters to ensure an engaging message is delivered
  • Educate key business owners about relevant production processes and procedures to facilitate effective communication
  • Write scripts and direct field/in-studio productions
  • Collaborate with post-production associates to create graphics, log footage and prepare for online edit, as well as complete direct live, interactive shows and perform basic editing and shooting tasks
  • Solicit, respond and act on program effectiveness feedback from peers, business owners and audience members
  • Travel to company sites, vendors and other external locations to manage media projects
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications Minimum
  • 7+ years experience in a video production environment
  • Strong leadership expertise and knowledge of the total multimedia production process (e.g. video, graphics, animation and post production)
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to create an environment where the talents of the cast and crew are able to thrive
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in multiple environments as projects dictate (e.g. office, field, retail, manufacturing and logistics)
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and build/maintain cooperative business partnerships
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage and execute multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Desired
  • Bachelor's Degree related field (communications or film/video production)
  • Experience with the Adobe CC suite of applications
  • Portfolio/reel of previous work
