Teaching Artists (ages 22+) support their Lead Teaching Artist and a team of Apprentices (ages 14‑21) to create a public art and community impact project on a seasonal basis (Summer). This job is available to artists with advanced technical skills who are excited to share their craft with the next generation. Seasonal project teams most often paint massive outdoor murals, but past projects have also included creative writing, dance, fashion, filmmaking, photography, and research.

Teaching Artist wages are $24.37 an hour. Teaching Artists work 30 hours per week for an 8‑week period, beginning in early June. Scheduled work hours are subject to change owing to inclement weather, but are typically between 8am – 4pm, Monday through Thursday. Teaching Artists must attend mandatory orientation the week of May 26‑29 between 9am – 5pm (exact hours TBD).
