The Project Manager is responsible for the daily activities required to ensure the successful completion of the project and is primary liaison with the company's customer, their architect and engineering consultants as required.
Responsibilities:
Obtain the bidding documents and other pertinent information from the estimatorManage and estimate change orders on existing contractsCoordinate the collection and dissemination of all contract information required by the owner, general contractor and the job superintendentDetermine from the specifications the quality parameters and any special safety requirements for each projectManage all field surveys and documentationPrepares and maintains the erection plan as part of the project site specific planManage the logistics for manpower, tools and equipment for each jobDetermine delivery and erection sequencesPrepare and maintain project schedules and responsible for the attainment of on-time completionCommunicate contract requirements to subcontractors, job superintendent, equipment manager, crane supplier, etc.Disseminate the requirements of the contract safety and quality systems to the field forces at the job siteManage activities related to drawing distributionDevelop and process requests for information through the project systemCoordinate shipping requirements between the field and suppliers and subcontractorsJob cost reportingQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, or Construction ManagementMinimum 3 years of experience in project management / project engineering relating to structural steel and precast erectionAble to interpret information from contract drawings, specifications and shop detail drawingsAble to work with people in situations involving challenges, critical lead times, budgets and deadlinesGood oral and written communicationsProfessional attitudeMust have good mathematical and statistical skills needed for evaluation of data, computation and calculations.Detail orientedValid driver's licenseBen Hur is an equal opportunity employer.
