Civil Construction Inspector

Position:
Civil Construction Inspector I. You will count on contributing to field observations, quality control, and documentation for civil infrastructure projects. You will operate under general supervision with guidance from a Senior Inspector and collaborate with our team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely project execution.

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, pipelines).
• Monitor, record, and inspect construction progress.
• Coordinate field materials sampling and testing (concrete slump and air testing, cast concrete test cylinders, in-place soil compaction testing).
• Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector, who reviews work as it progresses.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Technical school or Associate degree.
• Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection.
• Previous ODOT experience.
• Road and bridge construction experience.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture.

The compensation range for this role is location-dependent:
Ohio: $48,650 – $69,500.
