Operations Manager
CINFAB is looking for a Assistant Project Manager in Cincinnati, OH.
Established in 1981, CINFAB filled the need for a high-quality, competitively priced commercial HVAC sheet metal contractor. Since then, we’ve grown our operations to include a 40,000-square-foot full-service fabrication shop and expanded our capabilities to meet the design, fabrication and installation needs of our customers.

Essential functionsLead by Example:
- Maintain submittal tracking system.
- Review the Coordination Schedule with the PM and the Manager of Engineering and the customer. Attend the initial coordination meetings until everything is running smoothly.
- Provide all equipment submittals to the coordination department.
- Obtain local licensing and permits.
- Discuss status of changes in weekly Project Review Meeting.
- Take meeting minutes at weekly job-site meeting and distribute.
- Maintain on-site job files.
- Track tools and equipment.
Build Lifelong Partnerships:
- Attend meetings and work with Project Manager (PM) in set-up of project information
- Work with site superintendents to manage site processes
- Assist Field Foreman to enter payroll and POs into Computer Ease.
- Assist Field Foreman in use of Excel and Word programs.
- Assist Field Forman in ordering material and supplies.
- Assist PM to Develop the Construction Schedule and sequence (reverse phase schedules)
Act with Integrity:
- Update Project Manpower Projections weekly, report negative variances and appropriate action
- Ensure contracts and change orders executed.
- Track and manage all project specific documentation to ensure proper distribution and implementation.
Put People First:
- Maintain a positive customer relationship throughout each assigned project. Request assistance with confrontational issues from PM.
Challenge the Ordinary:
- Assist in organizing and leading meetings to discuss the specific project plan. Discussion topics should include schedule, material & equipment delivery, logistics, manpower, changes, documentation and specific project issues.
- Assist PM with preparation and presentation of an accurate Cost To Complete to the Controller and Company President
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- 1 - 3 years of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer or project manager
- 2 - 4 years of experience with MEP, preferably in HVAC and sheet metal projects
- Strong experience in Auto Cad and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Candidates must have moderate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- The ability to walk on uneven ground.
- Able to use ladders and navigate scaffoldings.
- Tolerate loud environments and constructions activities.
- Office site may include a temporary trailer.
- Visiting constructions sites on a routine schedule.
- Standard job site PPE is required and provided.
