Position: Assistant Project Manager (Travel)

Assistant Project Manager (Travel)
Tippmann Group / Interstate Warehousing / Tippmann Construction

Assistant Project Managers at Tippmann Construction work directly with subcontractors and clients to execute the full building process. After the project manager team becomes familiar with the design, they plan, sequence the work, procure materials and subcontractor services, and ensure that all activities sync with project milestones while meeting Tippmann’s quality and safety standards. Throughout construction, the team uses company‑developed processes and tools to maintain clear communication with subcontractors, internal team members, and client personnel.

APMs are largely accountable for delivering a high‑quality experience for our customers.

Core Responsibilities
  • Establish construction project plans and schedules, anticipating activities days, weeks, and months in advance
  • Execute building material take‑offs, submit them to potential suppliers, and source materials
  • Prepare bid documents and source subcontractors
  • Initiate subcontractor work and ensure timeliness and quality throughout the project
  • Manage project execution to meet Tippmann Safety Standards
  • Utilize internal systems, tools, and processes to maintain consistency in overall project management
  • Communicate concisely regarding all project aspects using multiple methods
Skills And Capabilities
  • BS in Construction Management, related degree, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of industrial facility design, engineering, and construction
  • Knowledge of thermal processing a plus
  • OSHA 30‑Hour training preferred
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and solve problems
  • Goal‑oriented personality with demonstrated resilience
  • Strong internal and external communication skills
  • Track record of positive performance, attention to detail, and results orientation
  • Self‑starter, highly motivated, requires limited supervision
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite including Excel and Project
  • Knowledge of design‑build process and food processing & distribution industry preferred
