DescriptionWe are seeking an Analyst to support the Merchandising workstream with a focus on in-stock performance measurement, guardrail development, compliance reporting, and promo readiness analytics. This role will translate complex merchandising data into actionable insights that improve product availability, shelf holding power, and supplier performance across multiple categories.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive operational outcomes.
DesiredSkills & Qualifications
- Advanced expertise in Excel and Power BI
- Strong proficiency in SQL; experience with R or Python preferred
- Hands-on merchandising analytics experience across DSD, Center Store, and Perishables (in-stock/OSA, promo analysis, supplier scorecards)
- Proven ability to build guardrails, compliance frameworks, and convert analytics into operational recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills to support supplier enablement and cross-functional alignment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience managing supplier performance and supporting escalation processes
- Ability to manage multiple analytical work streams simultaneously
- Lead in-stock performance analytics across DSD, Center Store, and Perishables, including tracking key OSA drivers such as shelf holding power and tail SKU performance
- Support supplier onboarding by developing performance dashboards and standardized reporting
- Build guardrails and compliance analytics to evaluate supplier performance against defined thresholds (e.g., OSA targets) and enable escalation workflows
- Deliver promo readiness insights using historical performance data and tools (e.g., commodity-level lost sales analysis) to identify early risks and quantify potential impacts
- Support Center Store pack-out and Days-of-Supply (DOS) modeling, evaluating scenario impacts (e.g., pack-out changes) on in-stock performance and inventory levels
- Conduct perishable holding power analyses to quantify DOS improvements and identify categories driving out-of-stock risk due to insufficient shelf space
- Perform dependency analysis to measure reliance on key distribution sources, evaluate risk exposure from fulfillment gaps, and support standard-setting for operational thresholds
- Build reporting to track process adherence, including constrained item workflows, new item setup impacts, and usage of prioritization tools to drive corrective action
