Payroll Manager

Vaco is recruiting for a Payroll Manager located on the east side of Cincinnati.

This is a direct hire opportunity – salary: $80K-$95K

• Process and submit bi‑weekly payroll, multi‑state payroll, garnishments, and taxes.
• Data entry of payroll inputs (i.e. commissions, bonuses, fringe benefits).
• Maintain and update employee payroll information in software (i.e. direct deposits, federal, state and local taxes).
• Maintain time system and electronic timecards.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
• Provide training to employees on payroll related items as needed.
• Ensure all deductions are funded timely. Prepare and submit deduction files biweekly to various vendors.
• Issues or reissues replacement checks or direct deposits as needed.
• Review of payroll tax and wage withholding reports for federal, state, and local jurisdictions (prepared by third party).
• Remit all voluntary deductions (401k, ESPP, etc.).
• Manage change request process for data file for file transfer from the payroll system to the benefits system, as needed.
• Ensure that all W-2s are postmarked by January 31st annually.
• Ensure that all W-2s add on amounts are properly processed (auto, legal allowances, stock option income, etc.).
• Provide information for quarterly and annual SOX audits.
• Keep up to date on payroll tax law changes.
• Assist in reconciling payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
