Overview
As a Senior National Account Executive for the Sweet Snacking portfolio at Kroger, you will lead strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth across high-volume categories. Success in this role depends on your ability to leverage data, think strategically, and deliver customer-focused solutions that support revenue goals for both Kellanova and Kroger.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Kroger contacts, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to develop and execute joint business plans while optimizing trade investments.
- Identify and unlock incremental growth opportunities.
- Serve as the primary liaison for category buyers, leading the creation and execution of annual Joint Business Plans and driving brand growth through merchandising, promotions, advertising, shelf optimization, pricing, innovation, and omnichannel strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively addressing customer needs to strengthen long‑term partnerships.
- Leverage shopper and consumer insights to develop 3‑5 year customer strategies, adjusting plans based on pre‑ and post‑promotion performance.
- Achieve key profit and loss metrics through delivering account‑level priorities, JBP commitments, distribution gains, and strategic investment in promotional planning.
- Act as the central point of contact between buyers, demand chain, and delivery teams to ensure accurate order quantities, timely delivery, and seamless communication until product receipt.
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience in sales, marketing, category management, trade marketing, or revenue growth management.
- Strong background in CPG retail sales with demonstrated success in overseeing major national accounts.
- Proven success in Kroger account management or similar top‑tier retailers.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L ownership.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and advanced negotiation skills.
- Extensive experience in syndicated data tools (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, 84.51°) to uncover insights and drive decisions.
- Ability to thrive with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints.
The annual salary range is $144,200 – $189,210, based on various factors such as location, experience, and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
