Position: Data Processing Clerks- virtually from home
Sterling Medical is seeking full-time Data Processing Clerks to join our team at Sterling Medical.

The Data Processing Clerks will work virtually from home.

The program is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Duties for Data Processing Clerks – Level I will include the following:
Entering and coding data using standardized classification systems (e.g. Census, NAICS, SOC)

Supporting study operations through clerical tasks including document preparation, survey tracking, and file management.

Assisting with records management activities

Duties for Data Processing Clerks – Level II will include the following:
Entering occupational health and exposure study data according to a project specific coding guide provided for the activity.

o Source documents vary by project. They typically include electronic files, pdf documents or microform copies of hardcopy records, such as employment records, death records, or surveys which respondents completed.
o The data entry activity includes both verbatim entry as well as industry and occupation coding according to established guidelines.
o Data entry instructions are provided to guide each entry project. Coding decisions are based on these instructions.
o The data are typically entered into a custom-tailored entry application designed for the specific activity, using a tool such as Microsoft Access in the NIOSH Industry and Occupation Computerized Coding System (NIOCCS).
