Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, including credit and collections, accounts payable, and clerical accounting tasks. If you are detail-oriented and skilled in managing financial processes, this role is ideal for you.

Responsibilities:

- Handle customer calls to address billing and payment inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation of interactions.

- Manage credit and collections processes, including accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks.

- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely entry into the accounting system.

- Perform commercial and consumer collections, following established guidelines and procedures.

- Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions to maintain accurate records.

- Conduct check runs and manage payment schedules to support financial operations.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in accounts and invoices.

- Utilize Epicor software to maintain and update financial records efficiently.

- Prepare reports and summaries related to collection activities and account statuses.

- Support general accounting functions to ensure compliance with company policies and standards. Requirements - Proven experience in collections, both commercial and consumer.

- Familiarity with credit and collections processes and best practices.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

- Proficiency in using Epicor or similar accounting software.

- Ability to accurately enter vendor invoices and maintain organized records.

- Solid communication skills for dealing with customers and resolving financial issues.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial documentation.

- Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
