Project Accountant

We are looking for a Project Accountant II to support multiple active construction projects and partner closely with Project Managers and Project Executives. This is a hands on role for someone who understands how project based accounting works and enjoys being part of a fast moving construction environment.

This position reports to the Sr. Project Accountant and plays a key role in maintaining accurate job cost reporting, owner billings, and financial analysis across multiple projects at one time.

• Manage owner billings and pay applications in accordance with contract terms
• Process and track change orders in both billing and payment workflows
• Ensure all documentation and approvals are in place prior to payment release
• Review and reconcile project costs to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Partner with Project Managers to monitor budgets and report variances
• Support monthly job cost reviews, cash flow analysis, and over or under billings
• Assist with forecasting, revenue tracking, and aged receivables reporting
• Work closely with project leadership to provide timely financial insights

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 to 5 years of construction accounting or project based accounting experience
• Strong understanding of job costing, contract billing, and budget tracking
• Comfortable working directly with Project Managers and project leadership
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Someone who works well within established processes but can also identify ways to improve them
