Job Description: The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting processes. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage assigned areas independently. The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years of accounting experience and is comfortable handling reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis with minimal supervision. Annual salary range is $55,000 to $80,000.

• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset/CIP schedules and record depreciation
• Initiates accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Creates payroll files and completes related entries and related reconciliations
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP

• Support and actively participate in the monthly and year-end close process
• Pull/Download banking and investment statements and save in company files
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements including balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze account variances and provide explanations
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Assist in preparing internal financial reports for management

• Assist with annual audits and preparation of audit schedules
• Maintain organized documentation for internal controls
• Identify opportunities for process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–7+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Experience with Real Estate ERP/systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
