Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations while ensuring all financial records are accurate and well-organized. Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to verify transaction details.

- Manage weekly payment cycles, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.

- Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies, and resolve payment issues promptly.

- Communicate with vendors to provide updates regarding payment status and handle inquiries.

- Maintain organized accounts payable records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and generating reports.

- Provide documentation and support for audit requests to ensure transparency.

- Monitor aging reports to guarantee timely payments and avoid overdue balances.

- Process employee expense reports and reconcile credit card transactions accurately. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

- Strong skills in processing invoices and performing three-way matching.

- Ability to manage weekly check runs and payment processing.

- Proficiency in reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational abilities to maintain accurate financial records.

- Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and reporting.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

- Knowledge of expense report processing and credit card reconciliations.
