Senior Cost Accountant

Description

Robert Half is looking for a senior cost accountant for a growing Cincinnati based company. The senior cost accountant will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling cost accounting systems and labor. Must have SAP experience. Below are the key responsibilities. - Update standard cost systems for raw materials, intermediates, finished goods, and by-products.

- Analyze work order variances, labor efficiency, and material usage.

- Partner with Operations and Planning on batch processes, yields, and routings.

- Support inventory accounting including physical and cycle counts.

- Prepare cost reports and margin analysis.

- Assist with capital investment and process improvement analysis.

- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

- Collaborate with Procurement on supplier pricing and cost savings.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.

- Expertise in standard costing methodologies and cost analysis.

- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.

- Strong skills in variance analysis and profitability assessment.

- Solid understanding of cost of goods sold (COGS) and bill of materials (BOM).

- Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across multiple departments.
