About the RoleThis Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, guide a growing team, and drive financial accuracy across the organization. The role blends technical accounting expertise, team leadership, and operational problem‑solving — perfect for someone coming from public accounting or a fast‑paced corporate environment.
You’ll develop internal controls, collaborate with auditors, manage budgets and forecasts, and ensure compliance with GAAP while building scalable processes that support long‑term growth.
What You’ll Do- Oversee all accounting functions: AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, month‑end, and year‑end close
- Ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions and preparation of financial statements
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles and monitor progress toward financial goals
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Partner with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit readiness and compliance
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team through coaching and resource support
- Identify process gaps and implement efficiency‑driven improvements
- Stay current on changes in accounting regulations and apply them appropriately
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required (public accounting background highly preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of leadership responsibility
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex issues
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
