As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), you will safeguard our store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas, mitigating theft and creating a safe, enjoyable shopping experience. You’ll greet customers confidently, monitor activity, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty. Your expertise will influence customer and associate behavior, build trust, and ensure security standards are met.

• Maintain command presence: professional appearance, designated dress standards, radio/e‑arpiece usage.
• Stand at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly announcement.
• Reduce theft opportunities by creating a secure environment.
• Communicate theft‑prevention information during store rallies.
• Conduct bag/ package checks on associates and adhere to safety standards.
• Report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training on shortage‑reduction programs.
• Model safety and address unsafe practices promptly.

• 1+ years of customer‑service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention or related operations experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
• Confidentiality and strong decision‑making under pressure.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment focus.
• Leadership skills that foster productive business relationships.
