Critical Care Nurse in Cibolo, TX

Provide critical care nursing in a fast-paced Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) environment located in Cibolo, TX. This contract position calls for experienced registered nurses capable of managing complex patient needs with strong clinical judgment and precise technical skills.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience, preferably with Surgical ICU or Medical ICU background
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification
• Experience with critical care procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central and arterial lines, GI scopes, and catheter care
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment capabilities
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system is preferred
• Ability to adhere to strict unit policies including punctuality and professional dress code

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients across rotating shifts of 7 AM to 7:30 PM and 7 PM to 7:30 AM
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain compliance with all unit-specific guidelines including attendance, documentation, and infection control
• Participate in floating assignments as required by the facility
• Uphold professionalism through adherence to dress code and personal grooming standards

Additional Information:

• Assignment lengths typically range between 13 and 26 weeks
• Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends, no on-call requirements
