Salary:
Starting at £14.76 per hour, increasing to £15.97 inside the M25. Additional payments may apply.

Working hours:

Minimum 16 guaranteed hours per week (eligible for 12 hours). The following availability windows are requested for scheduling:

• Mon 17:30 – 23:00
• Wed 05:45 – 10:45
• Thu 05:45 – 10:45
• Sat 17:30 – 23:00

This role is open to candidates aged 18 or over.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Shift Leader, you will lead store operations from the shop floor, ensuring a safe, well‑stocked environment and excellent customer service. You will coach staff, improve processes and support managers in running the store efficiently.

• Lead the daily store operations from opening to closing.
• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
• Serve customers, listening to and meeting their needs.
• Coach and give feedback to colleagues, fostering a positive team culture.
• Ensure a safe working environment and comply with health and safety procedures.
• Measure store performance and suggest improvements.
• Provide guidance in the absence of the manager and make decisions that maintain service quality.
• Support seasonal, community and charity events.
• Recognise and celebrate good service among staff.

• Excellent customer‑service skills.
• Strong communication and leadership ability.
• Capability to make sound decisions and manage change.
• Motivational and inclusive approach to managing a team.
• Flexible and able to work early morning or late evening as needed.
• Experience in a fast‑paced retail environment is desirable.
