Christ Church C of E Primary & Nursery School is a popular, vibrant and caring single-form entry primary school at the heart of the Sparkbrook community.
In our March 2024 inspection, Ofsted said “Christ Church is a welcoming school serving a diverse community. Pupils typically state that, ‘everyone is treated equally here’. Pupils, staff and governors have recently worked together to create a new vision for the school. This vision is becoming realised. Pupils understand and are beginning to embody the shared vision - we love learning, we act responsibly, and we walk with pride and in excellence”
Governors wish to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher to complement our Senior Management Team from the start of the summer term 2026.
Salary: £63,070 - £69,596
Full time - 32.5 hours per week.

Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status and recent relevant experience
- The ability to support the Head teacher in raising standards and achievement
- The wellbeing of every child at the centre of all that they do
- A proven record of excellent classroom practice
- A love for reading for pleasure
- The skills and knowledge to be a role model who can inspire, motivate and lead others
- A commitment to and a good level of knowledge and of current safeguarding practices
- Proven leadership and management skills
- A passion for evidence-informed practice and successful implementation
- The ability to take the school forward in the areas of assessment, pupil tracking and data analysis
- The ability to be the Pupil Premium Champion for the school
- The skills, qualifications and passion to lead on SEND and Inclusion
