Join our Smart & Final store operations team as a Service Clerk. Smart & Final is a smaller, faster grocery warehouse store with a 150‑year legacy, dedicated to giving back to its community through the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation.

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with the loading of merchandise into shopping carts and into their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves, pull merchandise from check stands, and return items to proper locations.
• Monitor cleanliness of store entrance (sweeping, mopping, trash) and interior (sweeping, mopping, restocking restrooms).

• Read, write, and speak English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 45 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
