Licensed Vocational Nurse

Position

Licensed Vocational Nurse at Fredericka Manor Retirement Community, Front Porch Communities & Services.

$32.00/hr - $36.00/hr (base pay, negotiable with recruiter).

Part‑time:
Friday and Saturday 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing / Director of Health Services, responsible for supervising CNAs / Nurses Aids to ensure quality patient care and meet residents’ needs.

• Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co‑workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
• Arrives to work on time, in a clean uniform, with good personal hygiene and a visible nametag.
• Coordinates and performs resident assessments and plan of care evaluations when appropriate.
• Coordinates and performs needed treatments, medications, or other nursing interventions as indicated by the patient plan of care or ordered by the physician.
• Ensures all emergency measures are followed as per facility policy and within nursing practice standards.
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies and medications to meet patient/resident needs.
• Ensures all patient/resident rights are protected.
• Maintains all documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and Company policy.
• Performs all duties safely and efficiently, using equipment correctly and following department safety protocols; wears safety equipment as required.
• Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.
• Maintains highest standards of cleanliness and follows all federal, state, and corporate health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
• Attends all mandatory in‑service meetings, complying with all department and facility policies and procedures.

• All employees follow safe work habits to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors, or other staff.

• Licensed Vocational Nurse — California

• Vocational School Certification or Associate’s degree

• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations

• Experience in long‑term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nursing
