The Director of Nursing (DON) - Behavioral Health organizes and administers areas of Behavioral Health patient care services to attain facility's objectives established by hospital administration. Hospital-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient.
- Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services.
- The DON participates with the management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the facility's decision-making structures and processes.
- The DON implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to patients.
- The DON will work within the Crisis Stabilization Unit and will lead clinical operations within the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
- The DON will report directly into the Chief Nursing Officer of Paradise Valley Hospital, and will have oversight of 20+ FTEs.
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Extensive experience leading Behavioral Health programs
- Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.
- Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $ to $160,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
