Overview
Position Overview - The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12. This role requires active participation in planning and implementing individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and collaboration with general education staff.

- Provide RSP services to students with mild to moderate needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and supports
- Manage IEP documentation and service delivery
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction
- Monitor student progress and maintain required records
- Support academic and behavioral growth
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate
- California Mild/Moderate (MM) Special Education Credential required
- Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with elementary-age students
- Preferred certifications:
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Education Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Compliance with professional standards of practice
- CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (as required)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
