The Teller/New Accounts Representative will greet customers with a smile and assess and fulfill their needs in a professional manner. Emphasis on customer service is a top priority for this position. The employee will be assigned to work on the teller line and open new accounts, requiring effective communication while working quickly and accurately.

Employees will have extensive contact with customers, vendors, the public, and bank staff and therefore must be in‑person to accomplish the job requirements. They must interact in a professional and courteous manner and conduct themselves in a manner that will enhance the overall efficiency and image of the bank.

Essential Functions
  • Know the features & benefits for all checking, savings, money market accounts, IRA’s and CD’s. Accurately open all types of accounts for individuals and businesses.
  • Be able to explain and set up products associated with deposit accounts, i.e. online banking, mobile deposit, etc.
  • Offer products to customers that best meet their needs.
  • Confidently handle customer questions and problems, including doing necessary research to resolve questions and problems.
  • Participate in branch activities, training meetings, and projects.
  • Work on the teller line as needed.
  • Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
  • Cross‑sell other bank products to all customers; be knowledgeable about other bank products.
  • Regular, on‑site attendance during standard business hours is required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish, among other things, in‑person contact with customers.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in Community Service and Bank‑sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: demonstrate self‑governance, courtesy, and respect toward external and internal customers.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by the due date.
  • Represent the bank in a professional manner, including a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
About You Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred previous banking experience.
  • High degree of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize heavy workloads and demonstrate effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact in a fast‑paced, deadlines‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and making decisions based on regulations, company policies, knowledge, and experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
Work Environment

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with a moderate noise level.
