Insight Global’s client is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Tier II) to support facility operations in a hospital environment. This role requires multi‑trade experience: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. The technician performs mid-level preventive/corrective maintenance, troubleshoots critical building systems, and ensures a safe, compliant environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications- 3+ years experience in a facilities maintenance role (hospital, commercial, or industrial environment).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, use hand/power tools, operate diagnostic equipment, and follow safety procedures.
- Ability to use a CMMS for work order management. Valid driver’s license (if travel between sites is required).
Perform mid‑level repair, installation, and preventive maintenance across multiple trades:
Electrical:
Troubleshoot and repair circuits, panels, lighting, grounding, and power quality issues (120V–12,470V).
Plumbing:
Install/repair piping, fixtures, gas lines, drainage systems, and medical gas infrastructure.
HVAC/Mechanical:
Maintain AHUs, VAVs, pumps, exhaust fans, fan coils; perform filter/belt changes and basic BAS interactions.
Boilers/Chillers:
Support operation/maintenance of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and hydronic systems.
Utilize hospital system to track and complete work orders.
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission). Collaborate with clinical, operations, and maintenance teams; may lead small maintenance projects.
Provide high‑quality customer service to internal hospital departments.
Work EnvironmentHospital setting with mechanical rooms, rooftops, patient‑care areas, and critical equipment spaces. Requires standing, climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in tight or hot/cold environments. Position is designated Emergency Personnel and may be required to work during severe weather or operational emergencies.
