SCHEDULING DETAILS

" Shift Details: 3x12s, 7p-7a
" Charting: EPIC experience required
" Weekend Requirement:
May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
" Holiday Requirement:
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
" Accept First-Time Travelers:
Yes
" Locals Accepted? Radius Rule:
No. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria
" Pending License Accepted:
Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license
" RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission
" Call Off Policy:
Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
=========================
" ACLS, BLS
Preferred-NIHSS, CCRN
REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
=========================
" IV therapy: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, IV initiation & maintenance
" Respiratory support:
Assist with Chest Tube insertion/removal. BiPAP & CPAP management, ventilated patient care, Pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism
" Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency meds, titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips
" Endocrine/metabolic: IV insulin protocol adherence
" ICU Experience
" Experience at a Large Level 1/2 Facility preferred.
" Prefer Candidates with 2+ years experience
UNIT DETAILS
==============
" ICU average ratio: 2:1
12-bed CCU. Variety of medical and surgical patients. Examples:
Respiratory Failures, Client, COPD exacerbations, DKA, Vascular and General Surgery patients, Chest pain, Encephalopathies, Drug Overdoses, Renal Failure, Sepsis.
Need a nurse who can manage ventilator patients, A Lines, multiple drips, pressure support, assist MD at the bedside with procedures.
