Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what’s special about each local marketplace.

Hajoca is one of those trade names and is looking for an Operations Supervisor at their Christiansburg, VA location.

Pay for Operations Supervisor is between $20 and $25 per hour at this location.

About the Role:

You will:

• Ensure that all business operations are being conducted in the most efficient, effective, and profitable manner.
• Manage the processes used in all aspects of the Profit Center’s business, solve problems as they arise, and continually investigate the possibility of productivity improvements.
• Supervise a team of profit center teammates.
• Provide training and guidance to profit center teammates to ensure adherence to company policies and delivery procedures.

• Serve as an escalated point of contact for inquiries or concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Analyze sales and inventory performance reports and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, manage assets, and increase return on investment and profit sharing.
• Review daily sales and inventory reports and address issues immediately.
• Evaluate inventory management reports regularly to ensure an accurate and efficient annual Physical Inventory.
• Resolve all customer, vendor, and carrier complaints and disputes quickly and effectively.

• Ensure the Profit Center conducts all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
• Maintain and insist upon a safe working environment in compliance with the company’s Safety Standards, OSHA, and any other applicable regulations.

• Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets – buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.

• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:

• 3+ years operations experience
• Possess a proper and valid driver’s license

• Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain customer and vendor contact files and appointments, and to analyze performance data.
