This brand-new free standing emergency room opened in 2024 and provides high quality, specialized emergency care to the community.

Facility Information Christiansburg ER is a brand new, free standing facility designed to deliver exceptional emergency care to the region. The ER provides treatment for pediatric emergencies, heart attack, stroke, asthma, COPD, orthopedic injuries, and minor illnesses. As part of the Lewis Gale Regional Health System, the facility benefits from an integrated network of award winning hospitals and emergency care centers across Southwest Virginia.

Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery-a Level III trauma center-serves as the primary referring hospital for the new ER, ensuring seamless continuity of care for patients across the region.
