Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Christiansburg, VA

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid state medical license
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience in obstetric hospitalist roles or inpatient OB care
• Strong clinical skills in managing labor and delivery emergencies
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle emergent obstetric situations

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with high-volume delivery centers
• Familiarity with Level 3B NICU environments
• Knowledge of hospital systems and electronic medical records
• Bilingual abilities a plus

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient obstetric practice
• Active privileges at a hospital with a busy obstetric department

Other Requirements:

• Flexibility to cover shifts starting February 1, 2026
• Ability to handle emergent OB cases with efficiency
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Compliance with all hospital and licensing requirements
• Travel and licensure reimbursements provided when applicable
