Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure project success. Your expertise will help drive profitable projects by providing precise pricing, effective cost control, and thorough project analysis. Duties- Submit bids to meet sales targets and workflow needs, including quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bid procurement, and bid review with designated project manager.
- Weekly updates to existing estimating systems to optimize for future bids.
- Job transfer meetings for all awarded projects.
- Daily updates to admin systems to keep project management team and office team in the loop on status and progress.
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management processes.
- Proficiency with Excel and/or bidding software; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Daily use of these programs will be a requirement of the role.
- Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills for detailed cost control, pricing accuracy, and risk assessment.
- Strong personal organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present estimates confidently.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- High personal integrity and ownership mindset.
