Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 5-16 within a specialist education setting. This is a full-time role with an immediate start
, working 8.30am to 3.30pm
, Monday to Friday.

You will be working in a highly supportive and well-established specialist setting known for its calm, nurturing environment. The school is recognised for:

Pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs
, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Communication and sensory processing difficulties and Associated learning and behavioural needs

• Provide 1:1 tailored support throughout the school day
• Assist with learning activities, routines and emotional regulation
• Encourage engagement, confidence and independence
• Work closely with teachers and specialist staff

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience
  , especially supporting children with SEN needs
• Experience in SEN or specialist settings is highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the school's location
• A patient, resilient and caring approach
