CMM Quality Inspector

HG Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a respected and long-standing Manufacturing located in Chorley, Lancashire.

Working on days Monday Thursday 7.15am
-5.15pm (Friday optional OT 7am to 11am if required

£16 - £18 per hour

THE DUTIES OF AN INSPECTOR:

• Visual examination of final parts
• Use measuring apparatus including CMM
• Reading engineering drawings
• Complete reports to sign off
• When quiet on inspection undertake other duties , general machining and assisting other engineers

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background
• Excellent communication skills
• Designing, reviewing and updating quality control policies and procedures
• Ensuring quality check procedures are followed at every stage of production
• Documenting any quality issues and using the current process system for recording such documentation
• Dealing with customer feedback and complaints
• Creating and modifying CMM programmes on QCT
• Producing accurate reports to give to customers
• Supporting the shop floor by supplying accurate feedback on any manufacturing errors
• Conducting measurement analysis work for various departments as and when required
• Inspect first offs, random checks and last offs
• Calibration of all equipment measuring and thread gauges
• Monitor and update records accordingly for iso
  9001
• NCR reports
• Reviewing existing procedures to ensure they meet the current guidelines
• Maintaining documentation of procedural changes
• Collaborating with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet quality standards
• Supporting the shop floor by supplying accurate feedback on any manufacturing errors
• Conducting measurement analysis work for various departments as and when required.
