Cleaning Operative | Chorley Police Station | Chorley | Part Time
Salary: £12.60 per hour (full‑time equivalent). This is a permanent part‑time position of 9 hours per week.
Contracted Hours – Monday to Friday (9 hours per week)
Contract start times:
Monday – Thursday, 2 hours per day (06:00–08:00). Friday, 1 hour (06:00–07:00).
Policing Vetting – all applicants will be subject to Police Vetting. A three‑year UK residency requirement applies. No formal offer will be issued until vetting is successfully completed.
About the roleThe Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council is looking to recruit a Cleaning Operative to carry out cleaning duties at Chorley Police Station.
Responsibilities include:
- General cleaning – damp wiping, damp mopping, vacuuming, toilet cleaning, and washroom cleaning.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with council expectations.
- Covering for sickness, holidays, or supporting additional service demands with a flexible working approach.
