Overview
To work as part of the Integrated Neighbourhood/ Locality team under the direction of the district nursing team leader and manager, supporting the provision of high quality holistic nursing care to patients, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The Health Care Assistant will work with and without direct supervision of a registered nurse providing care to patients in their own homes and other community settings, as delegated by the district nursing team leader following appropriate training and supervision to ensure clinical competence and safe effective care. To support other health care professionals in the provision of high quality care in the locality population.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic healthcare assistant to work in the Central Lancashire District Nursing Services. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a variety of settings, and will be part of an innovative, dynamic district nursing team.
We are looking for experienced healthcare assistants who are patient and family focused, with excellent communication skills and an interest in community district nursing. The posts include a full time role covering day shifts over a 7 day period between 07.45 and 22.00;
additionally there is a part-time post for our Out Of Hours Service covering shifts over a 7 day service between 21.30 and 08.00.
- Provide high quality holistic nursing care to patients in their homes and other community settings, under the direction of the district nursing team leader/manager.
- Work with and without direct supervision of a registered nurse, following appropriate training and supervision to ensure clinical competence and safe effective care.
- Support other health care professionals in the locality population.
- Be part of an innovative district nursing team and contribute to a patient-centred model of care.
- Adapt to a variety of care settings and shift patterns as required (day shifts or Out Of Hours).
- Experience as a health care assistant with patient- and family-centred approach.
- Excellent communication skills and an interest in community district nursing.
- Flexible, self-motivated and able to work in partnership with the local community.
- In line with UK Government updates, the minimum salary threshold for Skilled Worker visas has increased to £25,000 per year for roles paid in NHS pay bands. Entry-level Band 3 positions do not meet the criteria for sponsorship.
- Applications from individuals on a Student Visa or Graduate Route Visa cannot be progressed, as this role does not meet the current UKVI requirements for sponsorship within these visa categories.
- All applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK for the duration of the role.
- If you have current sponsorship, provide evidence of 12 months Right to Work in the UK (including VISA Type and duration) within your application.
- Applicants requiring sponsorship will be asked to confirm eligibility during the process.
- Entry-level Band 3 roles do not meet the visa requirements and are therefore not eligible for sponsorship.
